Jonas Trampedach's Tea Bag Coffin

This reminds me of the Sex and the City episode in which Charlotte talks about having a "tea bag problem." Heh.
You know, her husband was leaving his soggy tea bags all over the apartment. On the coffee table, on the kitchen counter, etc.
I suppose this would solve the problem. It's by Royal College of Art grad student Jonas Trampedach. I tried Googling the guy and his saucer to provide you purchase info, but it looks like Trampedach has no website. And I assume this was simply a project for a class or some such.
Oh well, it's not like the side of a regular saucer is an inadequate repository. [via Yanko Design]

And we all wonder why I get into SO much trouble going off topic!

That's very odd for an RCA project, as British tea bags have no string or tab attached, and are almost always square or round (yes, yes, PG Tips, I know yours is shaped like a 'miniature kettle').

If you find out more, let us know. I know just the person to get this for.

The side of the saucer is not adequate storage for a used tea bag. It gets the bottom of the cup wet and it can drip. This is a very thoughtful and useful design.

I'd buy one.

That is a cool and useful design, but I don't think calling it a "coffin" would be very marketable.

I totally need this!!! I hate having to use my saucer to hold the bag and not able to put down the cup on it because of the water that flows out of the bag all over the saucer. Maybe the designer is American or some other country but going to RAC.

This is a terrific and very marketable idea.
