Happy New Year!

Well, we've wrapped up 2008 at Serious Eats (we accept that some of you think we have in fact over-wrapped it), so I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of the serious eaters out there a happy, happy new year. Our collective New Year's resolution at SE HQ is to bring you as much fresh, hot, delicious food content in 2009 as we can possibly dish up. If that means being even more vigilant in our never-ending search for seriously delicious food, we are ready, willing, and able. I hope that we are more than up to that all-too-pleasurable task. What are your New Year's food resolutions?

Um, Ed, we still have a lot more Year That Was posts to go, so don't call an end to the wrap-ups yet.

to alleviate pain , and suffering world wide.....or build, and devour the perfect cheese burger.........looks like I'll be eating a few burgers : (.

Thank you Adam, I for one, as a some what newbie to SE, am looking forward to the year's past. I must say, I really admire how dedicated the SE staff is to bring us the news of such good eats through out the year and through these holidays. I'm writing now during a respite from a gonzo foozball and airhockey tourney with my family and kids and their friends. Yea!! 2009.

Oh, and sorry Ed, should have really responded to your post, but the shit Adam got had me really worried about the year end stuff (not) ; )
But to the business at hand, my most serious resolution is to join a CSA and support our local farmers. And hey, just a shout out to one of our other foodie related sites, check Ethan Book's latest blog at epicurious.com on "What Farmers Want Consumers to Know." I love reading about what Ethan is doing around the farm and his take on where our food comes from.

I resolve to learn to make good, fresh pasta.

It helps that I just found a brand new pasta maker hidden in the recesses of family storage space...

Happy new year!
Wish you all the best and joy and wonderful things to become true this year!
It's 2009!
