Win a Free Organic D'Artagnan Turkey Here!

Do you know where you're getting your turkey this year? Not yet? Then we've got a contest for you. The good folks at D'Artagnan are providing us with a turkey a day to give away to one lucky Serious Eats reader from today until Sunday, November 23.*

20081114-dartagnan.jpgD'Artagnan is a purveyor of many things delicious—from pâtés to sausages, foie gras to wild mushrooms, game meat to truffles. But what we're especially interested in right now is their turkey.

D'Artagnan's certified organic birds are fed organic grains and pure spring water—no protein supplements, added poultry or fish byproducts, pesticides, or herbicides. Additionally no antibiotics, no growth hormones. The result is a poultry with great flavor, tenderness, and a 25 percent lower fat content than standard commercially raised turkey.

We will be giving away 12- to 14-pound organic free-range birds for the duration of the contest. Contest is open only to participants in the continental U.S. Details after the jump.

Win a Turkey

To enter to win, just go to Serious Eats Thanksgiving headquarters, peruse all the cool ideas, and then leave a comment on this post telling us which of our Turkey Day menu suggestions sounds the yummiest.

One (1) winner will be chosen at random among the commenters. Feel free to enter every day, but you may win only once during the lifetime of the contest. Comments for this entry will be open until 3 p.m. ET tomorrow (November 20). The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.

* Sorry, but we have to limit shipping to the continental U.S. Birds will be shipped from D'Artagnan no later than Monday, November 24.

The green beans with garlic and herbs. I love thyme and garlic.

I'm a huge fan of the Sauteed BS with Bacon. Thanksgiving is all about the meal, so it's nice to see some green mixed in with the buttery, starchy, meaty, decadent goodness. Plus the bacon adds the umm....essential nutrients.

So many of them sound amazing, but I have to go with the Smoked Oyster Sticky Rice Stuffing in Lotus Leaf. Ambitious? Yes. But completely and utterly decadent and delicious? Undoubtedly!

Pumpkin cheesecake with a marshmallow crust sounds amazing.

It may not come in a can ... but the champagne should add a certain effervescence to the cranberries. My vote goes for the Cranberry sauce with Champagne and Currants.

I'll go with the Classic Menu...

The maple-walnut cornbread sounds amazing! This is a great recipe to make and share with loved ones during Thanksgiving. Thanks for the chance...

The James Beard method of roasting a turkey and making stuffing/gravy is pretty much what I've settled on after trying many different ways over the years. I was interested to note that he turns the turkey not just from breast down to breast up but also from side to side. Hm-m-m, may try that this year.

I hear the Easy Menu calling my name! I'll probably end up doing something a little more complex, but I like to keep things simple as a general rule.

The Foolproof Pie Crust.. it would be great if it lives up to the name.

Still love the Roasted Brined Turkey, but I am very enticed by the Cornbread Dressing with Pecans and Bacon.

I love the brussel sprouts and cauliflower gratin with pine nuts! It is so different and I have to admit that we seem to have the same things over and over again. My son will be returning from Afghanistan where he has been with the Army for a year and I think he would love the idea of something really different to celebrate a different a special Thanksgiving Day.
