Thanks to everyone who entered. This was a really tough decision, with everyone here arguing for different pumpkins. This was a lot of fun. Can't wait till next year!

Woohoo! Thanks guys!
And honestly, I think 4th place is perfect for me... because right now the last thing I need is a super-sharp knife! The ones with the safety grips are right up my alley! :)

Awwww.... I really thought stike was going to win it.

Wow, those look awesome. Congrats to the winners and all those who entered!

My pumpkin carving hasn't progressed very far past triangular eyes and nose and a jagged grin so I appreciate the efforts of all the pumpkin artists. Stike's pumpkin is pretty awesome.

First aid kits should be included in each prize package next year. :)

Dude, the castle didn't win? For serious? If I was stike I'd be pretty miffed.

I can't believe number two didn't win. It's the most amazing pumpkin I've seen in my life.

When I found the contest pages, there were already quite a few wonderful pieces submitted and I was very surprised when I heard that mine made first place. Particularly, stike's pumpkin castle had struck me as one of the best!

My sincere thanks to the judges and 'Serious Eats'!
