Profile of Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy
It's from Philanthropy Roundtable, so it understandably has a heavy philanthropic focus. Still, there's some biographical background that may be of interest to Chick-fil-A fans.

Great story, I met him once in College Park, GA. Real nice man. If y'all ever have the opportunity I'd suggest going to visit the headquarters and checking out the original store (inside the atrium of the HQ) and the car collection. The folks who work there are all nice as pie.

Moral CEO role model philanthropist. His employees really are exemplary, and I love that he still stays closed on Sundays. I also love that he named one of his sons Bubba. ;-D

He seems to be a person who has a strong sense of morals, and practices what he preaches. Fine with me that he closes on Sunday. It's great that he (I've heard) serves yummy chicken.
But, the association with Dobson is a dealbreaker for me. Pass.

I'm fortunate to have a Chik-fil-A around the corner from my subdivision. They serve THE BEST chicken biscuits anywhere, and their sweet tea is perfect. Truett Cathy also promotes public education here in GA big time. Every month there are several nights dedicated to a different local elementary school and 10% of the proceeds for the day go directly to the school for supplies. It's great.
