There's no way empty cans can move that way. I call shenanigans!
mschlock at 2:15PM on 11/13/08
What if, for the sake of an awesome throw, they toss a not fully empty can. Still CGing it is also possible.

haha I especially love how the guy doesn't even look to see if he made the shot or not; he's just all awesome at it!

This doesn't seem possible. Maybe it's done with strings.

There's always the possibility that this is a compendium of successful throws -- with the multitude of misses cut out through the magic of video.
me3dia at 3:58PM on 11/13/08
I agree with me3dia. But that doesn't make that successful throws any less awesome!

note at 1:32 in, there's a very odd bounce before the can lands in the garbage off of what appears to be nothing.
i agree with mschlock.
just another skeptic and cynic.

at the end they add a disclaimer that says that no cans have been harmed in the filming!!! hilarious!

maybe they have a stunt can with weight in the top, that would make it a heck of a lot easier to kick the can in from the ground, and the weight wouldn't be shifting like liquid would.

I also agree that the toss and bounce off thin air at around the 1:32 mark seems VERY suspicious. As if they filmed the tossed can against a green screen, it bounced off a wall or backboard, and into the can.

Fake or not, it's quite funny. I love the nonchalant can tossing at random times - on the phone? Toss a can. Walking? Toss a can. Getting up to give a bro hug? Toss a can.

Man these guys don't recycle?
