Does Ice Cream Taste Better When Licked?
Apparently so: "Flavour in ice cream is only released when the fat content–which carries the flavour–is warmed in the mouth to at least body temperature. During licking, the tongue is coated with a thin layer of ice-cream which is more quickly warmed and the flavour is detected by the large surface area of the taste buds present on the tongue." I used to love licking ice cream off of ice cream cones until one day the ice cream scoop FELL OFF MY CONE and thankfully only rolled onto my pants...
...
Licking soft serve out of a cone works fine, at least.

Soft serve isn't as good as dense, rich hard-packed ice cream! You just have to make sure the ice creamer tucked the scoop in tightly. And if you let it melt a little, it settles into the cone even more.

Ahaha, I can totally imagine the ice cream rolling onto your pants Robyn...and then your facial expressions to follow!
