I love textures - what a novel idea! Who cares what it tastes like.

Wow this is GREAT! Perfect Christmas gift. I have looked everywhere and on their site - does anyone know where to find this?

This is a great concept, and pretty!

I've encountered a few of these while browsing the racks--notably from Rhone producer M. Chapoutier. They started doing so in 1997.

this goes above and beyond the "in addition to" labels I found (http://theleatherdistrictgourmet.wordpress.com/2008/08/22/fearless-and-blushing-wine-spectator-expose/) . For a really interesting read see Clotilde's interview of a blind cook. Here is a link:http://theleatherdistrictgourmet.wordpress.com/2008/10/25/first-we-eat-with-our-eyes/

@Cassaendra...as a graphic artist I love this idea, and the texture is fantastic as well. But to say "who care what it tastes like" makes it sound as if blind people don't need to actually have GOOD wine, they just need to have a label designed for them. THEY care what it tastes like :)

@Vinovamp: The "who cares what it tastes like" was more of a self-centric comment. I can't drink alcohol -- 2 sips of wine = my chest tightens, labored breathing, and cannot walk for 15-20 minutes. For that reason, I don't care what it tastes like since I'll never know...as bad as it sounds =) ...but I ~LOVE~ the bottle. :P

@Cassaendra: AHHHH....makes a heap more sense now!

Great idea, but wine drinkers should probably be drinking organic wine. If you're interested read http://www.newrinkles.com/index.php/archive/organic-vines-create-better-wines/
