Baskin-Robbins Turkey Cake

20081117-turkeycake.jpg

Baskin-Robbins has a turkey cake which, fortunately, is supposed to taste like cake, not turkey. Instead of stuffing, there's ice cream inside (your choice of flavor) and those aren't turkey legs, they're sugar cones. Does this make anyone else really happy? Serves 12 to 16 mouths, and available at select locations for $37.58.

OMG. I have to post this on Cake Wrecks right now! Thank you..

Is that a Turcaken then?

Last year I worked in a warehouse and the day before Thanksgiving they got us a turkey cake from a grocery store. Nobody touched it because we were all afraid it was going to be meat flavored.

Many, many years ago, Christina's Ice Cream in Cambridge, Mass., sold a flavor called turkey dinner ice cream. With stuffing and a gravy ripple. I kid you not. (No, I didn't try it.)

Reminds me of Charm City Cakes' "Turducken Cake".

They used to make this back in the 70's and early 80's, too. I was born on Thanksgiving and always celebrated with the family on Thanksgiving, and begged for that damn cake every year. Never got it, just might have to buy it for myself this year.
