Starbucks Has New Lids! And They're Bad!
They don't look new and different, but apparently the straw slits on the lids went through renovations. Now straws don't really fit through them! According to B-Side Blog, "you'll have to remove it and pry open a hole." Lid fail.

Agreed on this one! It squeezes it shut, so you have to pry a wider opening!

They are actually reformatting the new lids so that this doesn't happen. Ask for a bigger straw until this happens and it won't get smooshed.

I've experienced similar lids at other establishments. Sometimes I think that flimsy straws are a big part of the problem, in conjunction with this type of straw opening. Let's face it, straws aren't what they used to be either. :(
