Love kitties. This one has a nice moustache.

Relieved that this is only marginally food related, because I don't want to see any cat frites, etc. :0

Hmm. What's even weirder is that the cat actually looks like Patrick Stewart playing the Maitre D' at L'Idiot in the movie "L.A. Story"

Thanks for bringing the most asinine thing the internet ever invented to serious eats.

@beeee...You know, you're absolutely right. :)

Oh yeah, I've had to slip this guy a twenty in a couple places.....

beeeee....I loved that scene, thanks for reminding!

I'm with Sailordave. My wife drives me up the wall with that site. I hate cats, and that site makes me hate them even more. It's bad enough I have ot live with one. Sure, sometimes it's funny, but it's by far contributing to the dumbing down of the internet.

Oh well, I guess as long as it makes some people happy, I can only knock it so much.

It's dumb. It's incredibly dumb. But it makes me laugh like a happy mouse full of cheese.

C'mon--have a sense of humor! It's cute! Right, cat lovers?

We rarely put a LOLcat on SE. Usually only after something completely depressing. Next time, I can arrange not a LOLcat but something even more depressing ... Bwahahahah.

I love the LOL cats, and don't think they've 'dumbed' me down. Given all of the bad news coming at us lately, it's imperative we have something to make us laugh. Something innocent, that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings nor add to the negativity we are experiencing daily. These sites, LOLcats, I can haz cheeseburgers, and Cute Overload, among others, allow us a few precious moments of mental 'freedom'. It was great seeing this here. Thanks so much, Serious Eats. (Sites like yours are also welcome to keep our minds off of our many troubles.)

Oh, lighten up, peeps!
