Although Kraft and Kellogg's have increased the prices of their packaged food products due to the higher cost of raw materials, their sales have increased as cash-strapped consumers are making food at home more often than before.

Also, cereal is a cheap meal. Slightly more expensive cereal is still going to be a cheap meal.
Seriously...I remember eating meals of cereal and ramen back in college. I still do the cereal thing now...mostly because, well, I like cereal.
