KFC Box Meal Makes for Unhealthy Guitar Heroes

KFC has come up with a box meal tie-in for the new Guitar Hero: World Tour video game. The KFC Fully Loaded Box Meal consists of two Original Recipe Strips, an Original Recipe Snacker, your choice of a drumstick or thigh, two sides, a biscuit, and a 32-ounce drink for $7.99. That's more than 1200 calories and about 60 grams of fat. Maybe it's just me but I don't see how one person alone can eat this like in the commercial and not feel nauseous or the need to go run a marathon.
So I have to give props to the guys at gaming blog Kotaku for taste testing it. Overall they gave it a D-. Some specific ratings for each item include: "Most food like," "Nauseating," and "Brown." Check out their post for more of their impressions.

It's amazing how many calories and fat are packed in such a small amount of food.
- 2 chicken strips (2 x 3 bites)
- mini chicken sandwich (6-7 bites)
- 1 drumstick or thigh (4 bites)
- 2 small sides (a choice between 4-5 sporksful of cole slaw, mashed potatoes, mac cheese, or 7-8 fries...or whatever it is they serve these days)
- 1 biscuit (I chuck biscuits in the rubbish so that wouldn't amount to much in my meal :P)
- lots of soda that would last me the whole day

See, here's the thing ...
This post comes in-between posts on frozen ice cream, candy corn, chubby hubby ice cream, and a video with Alton Brown and donuts.
However, since it's KFC, the source of the food is apparently not to be respected whatsoever.
There are some nasty KFC restaurants out there. I know of two that could make the contents of this box correctly.
However, with everything else that's posted around this post, it'd be great if people would treat this as it is: A food review.
Anybody up for a donut covered with ice cream and candy corn?

While I appreciate the folks at Kotaku for taste testing this, but the funniest KFC writeup award goes to the Onion A.V. Club:

@LunaPierCook: let's do a ice cream filled donut with candy corn sprinkles. Like pumpkin ice cream would work. And some kind of orange frosting.

this looks bangin'. i'm serious too, i would eat this.

@wunami ... lessee here ,,, candy corn originally tasted like honey, so maybe honey ice cream inside a pumpkin cake donut, with whipped orange frosting and candy corn embedded in the top of the frosting? Yeah, that'll work! Of course, wash it down with chilled whole milk. ;-)

This looks like heart slowing goodness! My wife is on her way to the local KFC to get me one of those! I'm diggin' out a pair of her old maternity stretch jeans and drooling with anticipation! Should I survive... I'll report my findings soon.
btw.. i think breaking up a warm chocolate iced cake donut in vanilla ice cream sounds awesome myself. Maybe add in some plain M&M's....
