Reviewed: New Hershey's Kisses Pumpkin Spice

Every morning in October, we'll have something to put you in the Halloween mood! Boo!

When I first heard about the pumpkin spice Hershey's Kisses, I didn't know what to expect. Would there be chocolate? A pumpkin center? A pumpkin shell?

There's no chocolate involved. A cinnamony creme center. And yes, a pumpkin shell.

I've had the pumpkin muffins, pumpkin beer, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin soup, pumpkin ice cream, and pumpkin candles lit in my room. It was only a matter of time before the world threw another pumpkin thing at me, and I approved.

They're good, though a little sweet for my taste (white chocolate sweet). In fact, they're probably just white chocolate with pumpkin flavoring. You don't need more than a few, which is good since seven pumpkin Kisses have thirteen grams of fat. Nothing pumpkin has ever disappointed me, including these, but one thing bothered me: no signs of pumpkin anything on the ingredient list.

Available at Target.

I haven't tried the Pumpkin flavored kiss but yesterday, however, I came across another new flavor- Candy Corn? I have no idea if anyone's tried it but I am very curious how well Hershey's can pull off Candy Corn Flavored Kisses!

We have the Candy Corn and the Caramel Apple. The Candy Corn, like the pumpkin, is really sweet. I don't know if I'd say it tastes like candy corn, but it's vaguely reminiscent and has the same stripes. I ate 3, and felt like I was going to OD on sugar. Mostly just an overly sweet white chocolate.

The Caramel Apple are better. A chocolate shell with a slightly appley caramel center. Not as sweet as the others.

We snagged these at the check out counter at Target a couple of weekends ago. I was able to try 3 pieces. My husband ate the rest overnight. From the 3 I managed to eat, they were quite enjoyable. It was a creamy white chocolate pumpkin spice kiss, and at $3 a pretty decent deal. I think my husband enjoyed it. :P

It was a lot better than the Mo's bacon chocolate bar my husband and I ate last weekend made by some company (forgot). My husband is a big fan of bacon and poked me in the ribs with one hand and holding that bar in the other. He made a puppy dog face and asked if we could buy it. Not being a fan of bacon or chocolate, it was okay. He liked it too, but the $6-7 price tag will stop him from going ape$hit.

How can you improve candy corn?

This is why I love fall! Suddenly everything is pumpkin flavored!

I'm with LHSK12!! I love the fall for this exact reason. Pumkin spiced everything! Love it. Can never be enough.

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these kisses. :)

I love anything pumpkin flavored and white chocolate so these seem like a no brainer to me.

I *love* pumpkin, but I don't like "pumpkin pie" type spices. It sounds like these have pumpkin spices. Not for me...

NO! I have had it with Hershey! First they start messing with the classic kisses, putting cherry cream and peppermint cream and goodness knows what else in them, then they take the cocoa butter out of my chocolate. Stop messing with the classics!

The pumpkin kisses aren't bad, but better are Pumpkin Pie smidges from Gertrude Hawk. Little milk chocolate pumpkins with a pumpkin filling.

Stop buying this crap.Call Hershey's and ask them what, if anything in their products comes from China. They will NOT give you an answer.

Time to STOP buying this ctrap from these arrogant people.

This is a brilliant move on Hershey's part. They can't legally sell their choco-flavor bars as "chocolate," but the kisses/chocolate association is strong enough to sell these wads of pumpkin-flavored vegetable oil for the same price as legitimate chocolate products.

Candy corn was interesting, but the caramel apple was spot-on. Haven't seen the pumpkin spice ones yet... I'll keep an eye out.

I wish that they sold smaller bags of Kisses. I'd like to try all of these different flavors, but not enough to buy a big bag full of them...

Yes I feel the same way, why not sell small bags? I fear buying a 2 lb bag of candy in case it is repulsive because then what? I would even love a "try it" bag of all the new flavors for each season.

My daughter brought a bag of these to her office, and neither she or her coworkers liked them.. they were sickeningly sweet, and frankly, everyone thought the taste was odd.

I bought a bag of the pumpkin and the candy corn yesterday. I was able to get down only one of each. I put the bags in our break room. Nothing lasts more than 5-10 minutes in there with 7 hungry guys. They're all still there today....

maybe, if Hersheys would stop coming out with mobs of obscure new candies, they wouldnt be in the financial position they are in. they are planning on replacing the cocoa butter in the chocolate with vegetable oil, because its cheaper. but, it will no longer legally be calleed chocolate if that happens. Hershey's milk chocolate flavored bars, and milk chocolate flavored kisses, are in our future, if they go through with it.

i wish they would just focus on whats important, like maybe NOT SCREWING WITH THE CHOCOLATE, that coming out with all this crap. Milton Hershey is turning over in his grave.

These would be good on top of a ginger cookie.

There wouldn't have been chocolate involved even if the product had turned out to contain "chocolatey" flavours. :P

I agree with those who love fall because of all the pumpkin-flavored goodies - it's wonderful!! I tried one of these (am diabetic, so I allowed myself just one as a treat), and it about made my teeth ring! I wondered if it was because I'm just used to sugar-free candies, but after reading y'all's comments, I know it's not just me. I guess it's their use of white chocolate that makes it that sweet. I think it would've been a little less cloying if it was a dark chocolate - I think that'd be a nice contrast to the spicy pumpkin flavor. Oh well, they're not bad overall, just a bit too much for me. Would LOVE to try the caramel apple ones! Where are you guys finding them? I haven't seen them this season - didn't even know they existed!

I wanted these so bad and went every week to Target for them. They are in the ads. But they never got any in either store locally in Michigan. So enjoy for me. I am so sad.

I didn't even realize these existed until right now - I want some!!

Anyone who doesn't love this is a poor, poor soul. the pumpkin spice hershey kisses are the most divine compilations of matter to ever touch my tongue... I ate one and began to question my entire existence leading up to that point. These are what I was put on this world for. The most delicious thing. EVER!

I am still a firm believer that these are the most divine snacks in existence
