Gamer Grub: Hunger PWNED!!!1!

20081012-gamergrub.jpg

Don't want to get your hands messy or don't have time to order a pizza or make a sandwich during an intense session of Breakout? Gamer Grub is the snack for you. You can't go wrong with these four awesome flavors, "Action Pizza," "Racing Wasabi," "Strategy Chocolate," and "Sport PB&J."

Here's a breakdown of what's in each flavor:

  • Action Pizza: Pizza Cashews & Pitas, Tomato Sesame Sticks, Tomato Almonds, Cheese Pitas, and Mozzarella Peanuts
  • Racing Wasabi: Wasabi Soy Almonds and Peanuts, Wasabi Peas, Honey Mustard Sesame Sticks, and Pita Chips
  • Strategy Chocolate: Almonds, Chocolate Raisins, Cherries, White Chocolate Chips
  • Sports PB&J: Peanuts, Peanut Butter Chips, Strawberry Jelly Chips, Bread Cubes

OK, so I'm really not that enthusiastic about this new snack marketed toward gamers. I'm only vaguely interested in how these actually taste, considering what they consist of, seeing how you're pouring those different things into you mouth all at once.

These are super. super. weird.

Strange target audience, I guess gamers are too busy gaming to cook!

Hah, someone beat me to the Penny Arcade link! Yeah that sums up the general sentiment about this one.

I'm not sure which name mash up I like better, Action Pizza or Strategy Chocolate. Although Action Pizza appears to be a mash up within a mash up. What are tomato almonds and mozzarella peanuts?

I don't see how this is different than any other kind of junk food.

if we needed yet another sign that the apocolypse is nigh, here it is.

A little bipolar disorder going on here maybe? Sheesh, it's just a snack not a personal attack.

Great idea - now kids can sit and play games, reducing their energy expenditure, and take in even more calories!!!

How have the reactions been bipolar? I don't get it...

People haven't been mad about it, they've just been amused at its inanity.

this is very silly. what the heck are "Pizza Cashews & Pitas?"
Gamers are definately a lucrative market though. my bf used to attend a large, 80+ gamer LAN that was sponsered by energy drink companies. so i guess this is a logical, albeit rediculous, marketing step.
ACTION PIZZA FTW!!!!1
