Growing up in CT, but now living in Boston for the past 8 years, I'm extremely happy to find out that Nepture does them Connecticut style - Hot and buttery is the way to go! Hold the mayo and celery for me.

OMG...I think reading about all that lobster is even better than sex. Truly. I MISS BOSTON! Any foodie who goes up there and doesn't get one of these perfectly wonderful sandwiches is a simple fool. You will simply taste nothing more divine.
I wonder if I can have them shipped to me down here in Georgia???!?! ACK! WHAT am I DOING down here???!?!?!

My friends swear by Alive and Kicking, but when I went with them once, it was not so great.

I felt kind of nauseated after eating their sandwich. Though it might have been because we didn't eat it right away and because we had already eaten not too long before.

The one pictured looks delicious.

I truly appreciate Boston right now. I am competing in the Head of the Charles rowing regatta this weekend and not only is Summer Shack selling lobster rolls on the race course, they also have oysters on the half shell for after the race! perfect!

The Union Oyster House in Boston has the best lobster rolls. Had one there several weeks ago.

I went to Florida once, and had a lobster tail (after a plate of oysters) in this wonderful shack with trestle tables and their own fishing boat - where was I??? I still dream about that perfect lobster tail with just melted butter and nothing else. SO GOOD!

@juliebugsmama: I ask that very same question (WHAT am I DOING down here???!?!?!) about Cincinnati!!

I am a born and bred Massachusetts-ian. born in Somerville, raised in Plymouth. I physically miss fresh seafood - cod, haddock, lobster, clams etc. I have found one store where I will buy fish from (www.junglejims.com,) but it's not the same as bopping down to the waterfront and downing a lobster roll (on a top split bun please!) or a plate of perfectly fried whole belly clams.
