The Traveling Omnivore's 20

Last week we blogged about Very Good Taste's Omnivore's 100 list. A meme in which you highlight the items you've tried from a list of 100 and post it on your blog. (We posted our lists here.)

This week, Sarah DiGregorio of the Village Voice blog Fork in the Road came up with a list of her own. The Traveling Omnivore's 20. Like the 100, but location-specific—e.g., barbecue burnt ends in Kansas City, boudin noir in Paris. Our traveling lists appear here, after the jump. We encourage you to post your own!

@kathyvegas, i have nothing on the above lists but i have had a fat burger at 1am on vegas and funnel cakes at a fair.

i've also had borsht in moscow, french fries in paris, falafel in jerusalem and pizza hut in moscow and jerusalem

I think there's maybe three things on that list I could actually eat, not counting the wine and scotch.

BUT I have had the maple sugar candy in Ontario - along with tonnes of other maple things, since that's where I'm from and I currently live - bagels in Montreal (not on the list, but should be), Beavertails on the Rideau Canal (basically fried dough covered in sugar, cinnamon and lemon), vegetarian haggis in Scotland, curry Pringles in London, fresh burrata from a truck (not to mention handmade orecchiette and all sorts of other goodies) in Italy, etc.

New York pizza? Get real - 20,000,000 eat that (mostly) junk all the time. It should be NEW HAVEN pizza.
