Photo of the Day: Intense Freezer Burn

20080918-potd-freezer.jpg

This photo accompanying The Kitchn's guide to freezer burn made me wonder what the freezer did to deserve such a high level of neglect. Assuming that its owners didn't die.

I also thought, "It's missing something." After the jump, my preferred vision of the freezer.

Ah, that's better.

I thought you were going to say it was missing the old aluminum ice cube tray with the pull-up handle. But I suppose that could be beneath one of the icebergs in there.

i thought you were going to add a bottle of tequila and or vodka....

what does that say about me?

I thought you were going to add a severed human head...

What does that say about me?

@tonecat: my mom still has one of those aluminum ice cube trays.

HEY GET OUT OF MY FREEZER!!! oops guess I shouldnt have said that huh? ;-)

You call that freezer burn? Meh....http://stomachsonlegs.blogspot.com/2008/09/frozen-freezer.html

@anado--i thought vodka too! great minds think alike! :)

the 2-liter of diet coke is so random-who put that in there and why?

Genius! You have found the solution to extinction on the melting ice caps- freezer pets!

i love those ice cube trays, despite the number of times i've gotten my skin stuck to them and was forced to lose a coupla layers.

doesn't everyone have a tiny penguin in their freezer?

@gastronomeg

Maybe the 2L bottle of diet coke has vodka in it? Maybe?
