Why, why, why?

Is this really the best way to court the blue-collar vote? Hell, even going on Rachael Ray would've been better.

Michelle Obama actually appears on Rachael Ray's show today.
I saw a preview a couple of weeks ago of Michelle's appearance on Paula Deen's show. It was weird.

Does anyone else see anything funny about this this? A white women teaching a black women how to fry? Not that I give into stereotypes or anything, but if I did on this largely statistically accurate assumption (implying the irony), then this would be quite funny.

I don't know how I feel about this. . . I wish she was going to be on Alton's show instead. Rachael Ray makes me gag and Paula Deen is CLEARLY trying to kill us:

I don't care where Michelle shows up, I always like to see her. Okay, I take it back. I'm glad I didn't see her on RR. Because, yeeeuch.

I was actually nauseous watching them! I guess I'm done with Paula. Why can't celebrity's just stay out of politics!?!?!?!

I agree with you suepar! Amen! You know whats interesting, I know for a fact that on April 22nd, during the taping of the original show, her boys, Connie Chung and Maury, not to mention Katie Joel were there......Michelle Obama must have been an afterthought, because she was NOT there at the taping of the "Grease is the word" show! I think that this is a political push, especially due to the timing. It ruins my opinion of Paula, just like Oprah ruined it for me when she pulled the Obama stunt! These two women are partners in crime! The type of shows they have were better left out of politics....Thats what CNN, MSNBC, and FOX news are for, to name a few! I don't like the bad taste in my mouth!

My arteries clog just watching Paula Deen! Regarding the show with Michelle Obama, all indications point to the show, or her portion, being taped on September 12. On September 8 she was on the Ellen Degeneres show. Yet, she was very noticeably absent at the 9/11 memorial service in NY.

All U.S. citizens have the right to have political opinions and to use whatever resources they have to promote candidates if they wish to do so. That includes celebrities, cooks, the unemployed, the retired, and YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE.

I was hugely disappointed Michelle Obama would be on Paula Deen's how no one should cook show. Was she sending a message to Americans that fried, battered foods are good for you? I would expect the first lady to set an example of healthy, nutritious food preparation. I can't express how disappointed I am. I know I am being redundant, but I just can't believe she would choose Paula Deen of all the shows on the food network. Absolutely, the worst!
