Marion Nestle Weighs in on HFCS
Food politics expert Marion Nestle gives her take on HFCS and the new Corn Refiners Association ads in today's San Francisco Chronicle. She's not a dietician but believes moderation isn't the answer here. "The most sensible approach to HFCS and to sugars in general is not moderation. It is, eat less." I totally agree with Maron Nestle on this, its just another sweetner, the fact is we shouldnt have more than a few teaspoons of sugar a day, and it doesnt matter whether its HFCS or sugar. Several of the commenters gave other reasons of food politics to avoid it, its environmentally bad too, but I agree that nutritionally its not the demon its made out to be.
