In Videos: Yoplait Commercial with Richard Simmons

20080919-yogurtcommercial.jpg

In this Yoplait commercial, exercise guru Richard Simmons helps sell low-calorie yogurt by freaking out at female customers who want to indulge in key lime pies and strawberry shortcakes. What he doesn't know is that they're not talking about desserts, but yogurt with the desserts' flavors. Because who needs key lime pie when you have key lime pie-flavored yogurt? It's almost the same! But with less chewing. Watch the commercial after the jump.

Sorry, this commercial annoyed me the first time I saw it on TV;
but I DO really LOVE the commercial for the same product where she's on the phone with her friend and talking about all the different flavours as foods in her fridge like key-lime pie and says "I've lost weight already!" and the BF is, like searching in the fridge for actual "key-lime pie" and is like "huh?" LOL it was cute.

I love Richard Simmons. He's a very funny guy. I remember seeing him on Whose Line when it was still going--turns out he's really good at improv. Had me in tears.

I love how they just look at him like he's crazy as he's ranting at them.

Richard Simmons is more frightening than any character, beast or monster from any horror movie I've ever watched. I'd rather look out my window and see LeatherFace from Texas Chainsaw Massacre coming up my sidewalk than him.

And for the love of God... somebody please give that man a pair of pants.

I swear he's been wearing those same red/white striped shorts for 20 years.

Richard Simmons is a sweet, lovable little moppet of a man.

But for the love of all that is holy, yogurt is not pie! When I want pie, I want pie!
