Get out the grill tongs and soccer mom chairs. It's time to avoid labor, and E-A-T. We'll be on a lighter posting schedule this holiday weekend, but will see you all back here in full force on Tuesday. We can't help but ask: what are you slapping onto the grill?

9 Comments:

brisket...massive amounts of brisket :)

Asian barbecue chicken grilled over mesquite, plum ketchup (Italian plums stewed with spices), salsa verde with grilled hatch chili peppers and local tomatillos, baking sour cherry (cherries also local) pie.

Balsamic grilled Italian sausages, sliced and put on Crostinis and buns. Mmm =]

Cedar plank salmon, grilled/marinated zucchini, and not sure what else. I am hoping to do some grilled peaches.

I am not slapping anything on the grill this weekend as the point is NOT to do any work and go to someone else's house to eat whatever THEY are slapping on the grill :)

Grilled salmon on ciabatta dressed with tartar sauce and lettuce/tomato. Shiver me timbers.

Grilling chicken for lunch... heirloom tomato salad for dinner and fresh corn. There's also the side project of pickled beets to go with the rest of the weekend plans!
Love the farmers market on long weekends!

grill? no. I'm spending the day smoking a turkey! I shove a couple in the freezer at Thanksgiving to smoke them in the summer.
