Isaac Hayes, Soul Legend, Dies at 65
Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes died today. His album, the insanely awesome Hot Buttered Soul, went platinum, he won three Grammy Awards, his theme to 1971's Shaft won him an Oscar, and he wrote a cookbook.
Hayes will also be remembered by a whole different generation as the voice of Chef on South Park. After the jump, a clip from South Park of his song, "Chocolate Salty Balls," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and the Irish Singles Chart. Plus a bonus live performance of Shaft.
