In Videos: An 'Extraordinary Nutsnack'
The voice over actor in this ad for True North nuts must have gone through a number of takes before saying the last line without laughing. "An extraordinary nut snack." Thinking of clean, innuendo-less slogans for nuts is a toughie, but this one didn't seem to try very hard. The newest version of the ad removed the "nut" part. I liked the nut snack commercial, if only because it made me do a double-take. I was sad when it was pulled. :(

I really love their pistachio chips. It's a shame they cost so much, because I'd buy them all the time.

Kinda grasping for the laugh there, if it's just the "nut snack/nut sack" thingy.
But the product looks pretty good.

haha, how could a line like that ever appear on tv in the first place? Wonder if anyone got put on some serious probation for this one- "Um, hey, the boss wants to talk to you about that last line you wrote into our nut commerical"

I had the TV on in the background when this commercial came on, and it immediately gave me flashbacks of Alec Baldwin's "Schwetty" skits on SNL.
