Wake N' Bacon Alarm Clock: The Best Sleep-Ending Device Ever

wake-bacon.jpgBe still, my bacon-loving heart. Could there really be a Wake N' Bacon Alarm clock, which wakes you up with the intoxicating porky bacon smell. You put a slice of frozen bacon in the clock's chamber when you set the alarm the night before, and voila, you wake up to the wafting smell of a cooked piece of bacon. We might have to order a thousand of these puppies. The inventor of this baby should be a shoo-in for a MacArthur Genius Grant.

What about a Wake N' Chocolate Chip Cookie Alarm Clock? Or a Wake N' Pizza Alarm Clock? What other food smells would serious eaters like to wake up to? [via Dvice]

and it doesn't grill your foot!

I vote for cinnamon rolls. What a non brainer. Not to mention, that my vote would win more votes than yours. Of course, bacon AND cinnamon rolls. Heaven on earth.

I like the pig housing for the alarm clock. I think he could handle sausage links, too.

and it does work! i went to school with these guys when they made the prototype

why would you EVER want to wake up to any other smell?

I wouldn't necessarily say that I like to wake up this way, but whenever I make stock overnight in my crockpot, I wake up in the middle of the night because I smell chicken!

Bacon, Cinnamon Rolls, and Coffee! throw in Homemade bread and i'd NEVER get out of bed!

I don't think I'd like to wake up day after day to the smell of anything. For me, continuously smelling something would completely ruin it. Kinda like eating the same thing repeatedly without change, after a while you get sick of it.

This is the most AWESOME alarm clock EVER!!!!!

Now, if I could get that bacon salt without salt...

OMG! This might be the solution I've been looking for! BF's snooze alarm goes off every 5 minutes during my last precious hour of sleep. I'm thinking that if anything will get him up, it'll be bacon. And then I'll be able to complete my REM cycle.

This alarm clock has the potential to improve the quality of my life.

*z911empire hahaha, that's the first thing I thought of too!

I might agree with Southern_Bella that you'd get sick of the smell after awhile, BUT I'd be willing to experiment and see how long it takes!

Fab idea!

Haha @ the first comment, love The Office... :)

Anyone else think it's adorable but slightly perverse that it's in the shape of a pig's head? "Please wake up and enjoy part of my belly coming out of MY HEAD"

It's good, but can I get one with the smell of onions and garlic, sauteing in a pan? That would be heaven...

OMG! Some people think up the wildest things. i think this would be a wild item for the guest room- you could sneak in and put bacon in it, can you imigine their faces in the morning! As for an everyday item ummm not even I would like that.

Does it come set to 4:20 by default?
(It makes sense if you say "wake n' bacon" out loud. If you know "wake and bake" you're more likely to know the significance of 4:20.)

apple pie would get me up in the morning.

Can you actually buy this thing anywhere? or is it just a prototype?

How easy is it to clean?

The inventor stole this idea from Michael Scott.

How do I get it?

i looooov bacon!!!! it rocks my socks!!
