Look Who's Talkin': Recent Comments We Have Known And Loved
We're bananas for what goes on in Talk. There's so much useful, funny, and interesting stuff going on that we almost can't keep up. Here's some of the discussion that's piqued our interest this week.
Thoughts on Peeps: "I love Peeps! I rarely eat them, but have to have at least 3 chicks at Easter. Only chicks (the other shapes are not as fun) and only yellow. I eat the little crispy eyes first. I imagine the sugar-free Peeps taste like insulation." — sadiepix

"I read an article...about a couple who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by eating the tinned chicken that they never got around to opening at the original wedding reception in 1955 or whenever. Apparently, in spite of the shoddy post-war packaging and being many decades past expiry date, it was still perfectly fine. Take from that whatever lesson you will." — caley

I used to do that, too! But I didn't get it from Laverne & Shirley. I used to make my own version of "egg creams" using milk, chocolate syrup and cola (I didn't know any better, and we never had seltzer in the house), and I think the milk + cola thing evolved from that.
I also eat french fries with mayo, b/c it's *so good*, and I don't particularly like ketchcup. Especially sweet potato fries. Mmmmmm.
