In Videos: How Sliced Bread Was Invented (Or Not)
Remember how stressful it was back in the pre-1927 days when you had to make your mystery meat and Swiss sandwiches on two loaves of bread instead of two slices? Not good on the figure, or the jaw muscles. Thanks again Otto, and this inventor-looking reenactor, for putting on that lab coat and changing sandwich technology forever. After the jump, pay more respect to the bread slicer.
