In Videos: Trailer for the Wine Film 'Bottle Shock'
If Sideways didn't quench your thirst for a wine flick, look out for Bottle Shock. Based on the "Judgment of Paris" in 1976, a British wine merchant (played by Alan Rickman) travels to Napa Valley—not yet synonymous with good wine—to check out the small wine scene and is left so impressed that he decides to conduct a blind taste test between California and French wine.
The movie premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters August 6, 2008. Check out the trailer after the jump.

I would see it just for Alan Rickman. That guy is fun to watch.

Can't wait...I ADORE Alan Rickman. That man is sexy, smart--I will never care how old or puttyish he becomes.
Best food-gift I've ever received?...
Hand-crafted "OVEN BRITS":
Oven mitts bearing images of Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Day-Lewis (okay, a technicality there...)

This was an excellent movie. I saw it earlier in the summer when it was the closing movie for Seattle's film festival.
Alan Rickman was of course awesome and the future Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) was really good. As was the rest of the cast.

Rickman is great. Bill Pullman has been a favorite of mine since Spaceballs and I enjoyed Freddy Rodriguez in HBO's Six Feet Under. Thanks for the heads up! I'll see it for sure.

This sounds like a great movie, and not just because of a certain British actor (though that's a big part of it).
It's almost startling to see so many other Alan Rickman fans on SE. Hi guys!

I really enjoyed the movie at Sundance, and when it comes out you'll love it. I wanted to go back and see it again once it finished, I was captivated. Great movie, and you can find out everything about it at www.bottleshockthemovie.com
