FYI: Giraffe Milk Is Kosher
Shavuot, or the Jewish festival of the first fruits, began Monday. Kosher dairy products like cheese or cheesecake are big on this holiday, and this year, giraffe milk can be too. Veterinarians at the Ramat Gan Safari Park near Tel Aviv took a giraffe milk sample, which then curdled, as required by religious law to be deemed kosher.
