In Videos: Taco Bell Freeze

videos-tacobellfrozen.jpg

To promote Taco Bell's latest frozen blended drink, the Frutista Freeze, Charlie Todd of Improv Everywhere organized a performance at the grand opening of a Taco Bell in Flushing, New York, where informed customers simultaneously "froze" their actions, slurps and bites suspended in time. Customers who weren't in on the act then stared and walked carefully around their nonmoving neighbors. Watch the video after the jump.

Very, very COOL

are you serious? Very very DUMB was my reaction. Kinda wish I had those 2 minutes of my life back.

I love taco bell, but I sampled the freeze and it is really awful.

I can't stream video here at work, but it's disappointing to hear that Improv Everywhere has sold out and what used to be for fun and artistic expression is now working for Taco Bell.

I thought it was kind of a fun, whimsical commercial, don't just automatically disregard something just because it's done by a fast food company.

They did a good job of actually integrating the product concept into the commercial, moreso than the "Whopper freakout" commercials Burger King ran a few months ago.

Maybe they were freezing up due to some pre-cardiac event caused by the spike of sugar and greese in their systems..?

haha cute. I like the lady who says "the world has gone mad."
I really feel like a fajita now for some reason.

Though not food related, the freeze in Grand Central was pretty awe-inspiring.
