Meat CSAs in the San Francisco Bay Area

Pigs from Clark Summit Farm.
You may know about community-supported agriculture (CSA) dedicated to providing locally grown produce, but how about locally raised meat? San Francisco Chronicle reports on the meat CSAs of the Bay Area that provide households with "monthly boxes of steaks, stew meat, pork loins, lamb chops, whole chickens and sometimes goat, all raised by Northern California farmers and ranchers, mainly on grass." Do we have any CSA's that provide meat here in NYC? I would like to join. Please let us know!

@simon: I searched for meat CSAs in NY and came across this Grub Street post. I'd like to join one too!

My CSA in Brooklyn allows us to order meat once a month. We can choose from chicken, lamb, beef, pork, and farm-raised tilapia. All delicious. Most NY CSA's have probably already closed registration for the new season though (I paid for this year's share back in March).

Thanks Robyn. I'll shoot them an email.
