Indiana Jones Snickers Bar Is Awesome

The limited-edition Indiana Jones Snickers bar. What makes it Indy-worthy? It has a hint of coconut in it. And can I just say that that little addition makes all the difference?
You know how when Indy had that medallion thingy that needed to go on the top of the staff and then the sunlight would shine through it and reveal the location of the Ark of the Covenant on that miniature city in the tomb?
And you know how that Nazi dude with the black hat and round glasses burned only half the medallion on his hand and tried to use it to create a reproduction medallion to do the same thing? And remember how that didn't quite work?
Well, the coconut-tinged Snickers is like Indy's medallion, and regular Snickers is the fake-ass Nazi one. I wish they'd keep the Indy Snickers FOREVER. Sadly, it will eventually be locked away in Indiana Jones's Nazi Loot Storage Warehouse. Innard shots, after the jump.

They look pretty much the same, except that the Indiana Jones version (on the right) is smaller.

That hint of coconut equals hint of death, anaphylactic shock for me. Bah. I'll take the mint M&Ms though please!
PS is it just me or does Mr. Nazi look more like umm... an Asian guy. Like in Temple of Doom, the guy who steals the ginormous diamond from him...(actually I don't remember what that guy looks like, just that he was Asian)

I love the mint M&M's..I hope they keep selling it so I can have a basement full. If I had a basement though. I've seen them at a few Duane Reades.

Yeah, the Indy M&Ms are great! We need to show our support for Mars to continue making them by purchasing more! The sacrifice will be worth it. :P
Right next to the Indy M&Ms were some cherry M&Ms, which were pretty good also.
I'll need to check out the Snickers.
Feisty, did you mean Ronald Lacey?

Oh yeah, the M&M's are awesome. I got 2 bags for $5 at Kroger's last night and I might stop in for more later so I can stock up because who knows when they'll be gone.

I saw all of the (already released) Indiana Jones movies! All 3 of them! I maintain that in the above picture, he looks Asian. In the movie- no. But above... yea!
Cassaendra - I had to look it up, but I guess not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lao_Che_%28character%29#Lao_Che The guy who takes the diamond in the beginning?

So as soon as you posted about the coconut-flavored Indy Snickers, I was fiercely attacked by vicious cravings. I NEEDED that Indy bar. NEEDED. Of course I found one, ate it, and now I am addicted. I was seriously thinking about buying whole cases of them and stockpiling before the inevitable discontinuation.
Blast you, evil blogger, for addicting me. *shakes fist*
One thing: the wrapper advertises "a hint of exotic spice." What, pray tell, is that? Cinnamon? I could only taste the coconut. Which was delicious.

Saw Indy tonight and the theater didn't sell the Indy M&Ms. Guess it's back to the grocery store to get more...
Cassaendra at 10:38PM on 05/23/08
I just bought one of these accidentally at Walgreens, thinking it was simply a promotional wrapper. Imagine my surprise and delight when the flavor was different as well! Huzzah for the coconut! However, you know that Snickers was olllllllld, because dudes...it's August.
