Photo of the Day: Meatscapes

potd-meatscape.jpg

"When I was a kid, this whole field was lush with beautiful green trees and grass."

"Yeup."

"And now there's that...what is that?"

"I think it's ham."

"What is that doing there?"

"I dunno, Jim. The world is a crazy place. With all the chemicals we use these days, you just can't predict nature."

"This isn't the world I thought I'd be raising my kids into, you know? A world with freakin' giant hams growing out of the ground."

"Yeah, Jim. It's nuts."

"...Smells good though."

"Sure does."

These remind me of the six beefscapes on the Beef, It's What's for Dinner website. There seems to be a surge in meat art.

Thank you, Robyn.
I always did want to see what inspired the song "On Top of Old Smokey"!

(Sort of weird - I can't seem to remember the original lyrics to that song . . . the "on top of spaghetti" version has taken over my mind . . . )

Reminds me of Lilek's Gallery of Regrettable Food.
