Robert Irvine's Bio Pulled from Food Network Website; Wikipedia Entry Edited
"It's unfortunate if Robert embellished the extent of his culinary experiences," Food Network spokeswoman Lisa Del Colle wrote. "We are investigating the matter and taking the necessary steps to ensure the accuracy of all representations of Robert on Food Network and foodnetwork.com."
The Food Network's bio for Robert Irvine now gives an error; but you can see the Google cache.
Quote from Robert Irvine's website: "Being a part of history is great!"
Updated: Apparently someone's been updating Robert Irvine's Wikipedia entry in his favor: "User:70.17.33.105 and User:70.18.190.64 likely are the same person. He/she appears to be determined to eliminate all negative facts about Irvine, which confirms my suspicion this is one of his reps or Irvine himself."

Perhaps he and JAG can open a restaurant?

I remember reading his wikipedia entry awhile back and was somewhat concerned about the dates of his naval service not quite coinciding with those of Prince Charles, but I didn't pursue it further.
Honestly, which TV personality isn't full of bull?

ah come on who wouldn't embellish when it is sorta true. It's like the millions (not me :)) who's resume is "helped"to get a great job. You may not do it but i know many who would. it doesn't make it right but .....

I dunno. I can't seem to care. I've been entertained by his show and have been impressed that he has been able to do what he does on it. So since I have been entertained I don't care about anything else.
If Food Network wants to change the opening to his show that's fine. It would be a shame to take it off the air though... it is certainly better than some shows they've got with people presumably more qualified.
As far as him being a jerk at a restaurant? It would be nice that a professional (he does cook for a living) would be better behaved toward the kitchen of a place he is eating, but I've seen that from so many people just trying to impress that again: can't seem to care.

ah.. hilarious.
it's also funny people think this guy got caught with his pants on fire is a big deal for him. it's like the HGH question in sports, if you can do something to get you ahead for a little bit, make good living, would you do it?
the difference is you cannot test for HGH but you can do fact checking to see if someone lied on his/her resume. this makes FN look like idiots more than anything else.

As an interesting note, both of those IP addresses are from New Jersey.

He has taken embellishing one's resume to a whole new level.
