Photo of the Day: Pineapple Tarts
Photograph from Mad Baker on Flickr
In preparation for Chinese New Year, which starts tomorrow, Mad Baker made these adorable pineapple tarts, a symbol for good luck. If you celebrate holiday, I hope you have a stomach-busting Chinese New Year's Eve feast tonight!

Arghhh. My family keeps sending me pics of Chinese New Year goodies while I freeze here in Providence. These tarts look like golden mouthfuls of rich, buttery, incredible-ness. I WANT.

My family sends me...NOTHING!
We don't really celebrate. Sniffle. :(

My Taiwanese boyfriend and his family celebrated this past weekend, and we're hitting up the local Chinese Cultural Center this weekend. I'll send you some telepathic moon cakes (yeah, they serve them even though it's not technically the right festival).
