For an Edible Container, Try Bacon Bowls
Megan of Not Martha made these useful bacon cups by baking woven bacon strips around the bottom of a muffin pan. Guaranteed to be delicious and increase the unhealthiness of anything you put in it!

kitchengeek that is the dinner of my husbands dreams. I am gonna buy bacon just to try this. I am startting the south beach diet and i think this is allowed. yum! BEST.SALAD.EVER.

BAY-CON! Bacon, bacon, bacon! (why do I always feel like that hyper dog on the beggin' strips commercial when I see bacon?)
Now sprinkle the bacon with cayenne, brown sugar, and cinnamon before baking then add your salad or whatever - "Oh food glorious food...."

oh, wow.... this reminds me of an old Jamie Oliver recipe I tried once where he put prosciutto over goat cheese and baked it. divine!

Megan of _Not_Martha_ had one terrific idea. This is so obvious, but bacon bowls would be great filled with scrambled eggs topped with [insert your favorite melted cheese] and chives. Might try that this weekend.

I've tried something similar from Micheal Smith but filled it with alternating layers of shaved potatoes and aged cheddar flipped upside down and slowly baked with a weight OMG a total guest impresser!

we used to make bologna bowls - microwave bologna on a plate until the edges curl up to form a bowl - as kids....but i think these bacon cups sound way better

I actually have an appliance which I received as a gift, about the size of a Forman Grill, that makes four pastry cups/shells at a time. I made potato baskets a couple times, but it's way too much trouble to use for the space it takes up, so I stashed it away years ago.
I think I'll dig it out?

I think the lettuce and tomato take away from the presentation.
Tater tots, hash browns, or some cheese and egg concoction would be best.
