OK - I'll give you difficult, but not tasty? Come on. A good grapefruit is so tasty... and so refreshing!

And while I'm at it, what makes a peach more difficult than, say, a banana? And does anyone really think grapes are tastier than, say, cherries?

Loving the chart, questioning the judgment.

Ed was questioning the chart here in the office, too, Kqrbob, and as I told him, um, I think it's purely subjective. I happen to agree with the artist. I don't like grapefruit at all—too bitter—but I would place bananas higher on the Tasty axis and a little farther to the right on the Easy axis.

I love how grapefruit looks like a moon crater.

I really want to make one of these, with dragon fruit being completely neutral on the taste scale, such it tastes like a mouthful of nothing :D

'FREE Grapefruit? Sure, I'll take some! Hope it's pink. I love a glass of grapefruit juice. ;-O

Adam, try pomelo's. They're the sweeter, juicier friend of the grapefruit. Nice chart.

Adam and Ed, have you tasted the Cara navel oranges that have been at Fairway and other local markets recently? It's a very juicy, very sweet navel orange with a reddish fruit and just the slightest hint of grapefruitiness.

I had to give up grapefruits and their juice when I went on lipitor a couple of years ago. I used to have one or the other or both every day, so these are a nice substitute. Even a GF hater like you might like them, Adam, although I still wonder if you've ever had a really good GF.

I think that the judgments are rather subjective... especially for the taste axis. I would easily put bananas higher, and both apples lower... still that's just me.

Oh yeah FeedMe mentioned pomeloes. They really are sweeter, and juicier than grapefruits. There's some folk wisdom around our place though that advises not eating too much pomelo at one seating (gastrointestinal distress, maybe?).

My drawing would be lopsided, with all but 3 on the top line of the upper right quadrant. Just below would be pears and plums. I'd leave pomegranates exactly where they are.

Unfortunately, I was just prescribed Vytorin yesterday, so I can't eat the two grapefruit I bought on Sunday.

I think that durian far surpass grapefruit as being the most untasty and difficult fruit, any day. They're covered in spikes!

I agree with and appreciate his distinction of the seeded and seedless grapes.
I wish he had added lichees...high taste, slightly difficult...hmm, reminds me of someone I know...lol.
