In Videos: Heston Blumenthal's Egg and Bacon Ice Cream
After reading about Boots in the Oven's gastronomic adventure at the Fat Duck, the dish I wanted to try the most was the egg and bacon ice cream The restaurant's chef and owner Heston Blumenthal demonstrates how to make this dish on the Discovery Channel's Kitchen Chemistry. While no ice cream recipe would instruct you to curdle your eggs, he purposefully cooks the ice cream base at a higher temperature to intensify the eggy taste.
Learn how to make this dessert after the jump.

thats a crazy coincidence, a friend was going to a bacon party this past Friday and I helped her come up with a bacon ice cream recipe. we saw this recipe online and a few more and changed them a bit. she didn't want the eggy flavor this guy has. she was just looking for the bacon flavor. she ended up doing the soak overnight part and cooked it to about 160. she then put it in the blender, strained it, mixed with cream, cooled and put in the ice cream maker. apparently it was the star of the party. she has friends now.
