Photo of the Day: The True Love Roast

potd-poultry.jpg

The True Love Roast contains turkey, goose, chicken, pheasant, partridge, pigeon squab, Aylesbury duck, Barbary duck, poussin, guinea fowl, mallard and quail along with herb and fruit stuffings. There's a different bird to represent each of the 12 days of Christmas! Only 50,000 calories!

that really sorta negates the turkducken's claim to fame, doesn't it.

if i may be so bold and point to a post on my blog about a similar yet inverse handling of more than one bird...

i hope i'm not violating a posting law but i thought it was an appropriate response to this amazing photo...

Something about this photo made me laugh...it was funny to see so many naked chickens together in one photo [smirk]

Mmmmmmmmmm! Great picture! I've eaten most of them, and have most sitting in my freezer right now. Just need to find myself a poussin and an Aylesbury duck...
