How convenient. Porterhouse.

New York Strip medium-rare!

Ribeye, but I'll be happy to take those Porterhouses off your hands

T-bone! Peter Luger's is my favorite place for steak. yummmm.

New York Strip, Medium. I love the filet as well, but not as much flavor as the strip.

Porterhouse of course.

Ribeyeporterhousesirloinfiletmignonchickenfriedcubeflankstrip.

Is that cheating?

seriouseats == psychic, my favorite cut is porterhouse!

Ribeye - somewhere between Bleu and Medium Rare :)

I'm a porterhouse girl because of Peter Luger!

Nothing creative here....porterhouse as well.

A ribeye steak with a huge rib bone sticking out so I feel like a real carnivore.

I love a good bone-in ribeye, but there isn't really a bad cut.

Porterhouse for the win.

The steaks may not be small, but I am. But I still bet I can eat a whole one in one meal. My vote is Strip because that's what I usually order. People look at you strangely if you're a girl and you order a Porterhouse, then come the questions - are you really going to eat all that? I bet you won't be able to finish that. What, you? So small and ordering such a big steak? Yeah, just shut up and gimme the meat.

Ugg my stomach is growling!

I actually like chuck because I love a good beef bourguignon made with one full bottle of wine.

The Porterhouse is where it's at.

Porterhouse!

New York Strip - medium rare with a nice crusty sear. Mmmmm

I like a good Porterhouse, but filet mignon is the winner, hands down. I'll still take those Porterhouses off your hands though!

I'm going to be a weirdo- I really like flank steak.

I second the vote for ribeyeporterhousesirloinfiletmignonchickenfriedcubeflankstrip

Ribeye. But I'll sheepishly admit I've never had a porterhouse :(

Bone-in ribeye, Fred Flintstone-sized!

New York Strip, rare.

Definitely the Porterhouse, served Pittsburgh style or Black and Blue and shared with good company.

My favorite cut of steak is a medium rare (more on the rare side) filet, with crumbled blue cheese on the side.

Porterhouse - medium rare

ribeye with the bone, rare

A Cowboy Ribeye - Medium Rare. Delish!

Ribeye, medium rare, no sauce or anything to interrupt the pure flavor of quality beef.

Porterhouse, mmm yeah

Porterhouse.z

The porterhouse is the best, but it's also expensive, so I usually go for ribeye.

Bone in ny strip.

New york strip...medium rare!

Ribeye, medium rare

Where's the love for neglected meats? I'll go with a hanger steak anytime (med-rare, of course).

if i'm cooking at home, i adore skirt or hangar. at a steakhouse, bring on the ribeye!

i loooooooooooove dry age porterhouse steak!!!!!!

filet all the way :)

A nice, medium-rare (more on the rare side) NY strip. Yum
sjpober

Filet, medium rare with melted blue cheese....but I love all steak (just not equally)

Ribeye medium rare all the way!!!! makes my mouth water just thinkin about it!!!!!

new york strip, medium rare

Ribeye in all it's fatty meaty flavorful glory!

filet medium rare

Mmmm... definitely filet.

I love a great Ribeye!

Ribeye, medium rare!

Filet Mignon will always by my favorite cut of steak, But it has to be prepared right, and of course be Medium Rare!!

i don't have a favorite, i'm not picky when it comes to steak, i like it most any way it's served.

A Brazilian cut called Picana.

A big juicy ribeye, cooked no more than medium rare, with good char. I also love porterhouse but it's harder to find and more expensive. Mmmm!

bone in rib eye

Filet medium rare, preferably bacon wrapped.

Bone-in ribeye

Filet med-rare

another ribeye fan, though i wouldn't say no to a ny strip

Onglet/hanger for me, please. Medium rare. With a side of frites.

I'll have to let you know after you send me those steaks.

Heh heh heh.

Ribeye, served medium, yum! Porterhouse is a very close second though. If more places could cook it properly I'd probably get it more often :-)

Bone in ribeye, cooked over wood

Porterhouse, it's the carnivore's equivalent to a ménage à trois.

Bone in Ribeye, coarse salt and pepper, seared on the hottest piece of cast iron i can get, delicious and amazing.

Of course I wouldn't complain about porterhouses or really any cut of steak ;)

FIlet or marinated flank for me.

I love a rare porterhouse, but I sure wouldn't turn down a filet or ribeye.

it's lame, but i love a filet.

Definitely a porterhouse. Love it.

Ribeye, for sure! Industrial size!

Mmmm...poooorterhouse....raaaaare

Ribeye, with the bone so I can gnaw on it like a troglodyte. Nice and crusty on the outside, with a warm pink center, topped with some sauteed mushrooms and some good blue cheese... arghhh, my stomach is rumbling!!

I love grilled flank steak. If I can't have that, my second choice would probably be a good ol rib eye.

Ribeye, rare

First Porterhouse, then ny strip, then ribeye, then fillet, then the rest... medium rare of course.

New York strip, medium.

If I have someone to share with porterhouse, all by myself ribeye. I love when there is slight charing on the outside and med-rare on the inside. mmmm mmmm good!

fillet, medium

It's a tie between beef tenderloin and NY strip.

a steak haiku:

the perfect ribeye
blackened crust, ruby red meat --
i give a low moo of thanks

dry aged NY strip a shade above rare GRASS FED if possible mmmmm

I do love a fillet, but really I'm ordering a ribeye if I'm ordering a steak.

T-bone has all the parts I love! A restaurant her in Portland (Toro Bravo) has a coppa steak that I am also enamored with but I'm not sure where he's exactly cutting that puppy off.

A bone in ribeye medium rare. Oh that marbled fatty collar! I supose I could choke down a couple of those porterhouses though. Thanks for the chance!

Hanger steak or flank steak

Can't go wrong with a medium rare ribeye!

NY Strip, always, perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. Medium-rare. Yum.

Ribeye. However, Porterhouses aren't too shabby either.

Bone in ribeye. Yum.

NY Strip - med rare. sorry, but I love it.

New York Strip

I'll go with filet.

mmm...flank or flatiron, grilled medium rare.

It just depends on the beef. Really good, aged, well-marbled prime? New York Strip, all the time. Questionable, or lower-grade/less marbled beef? Filet mignon. It's just more dependable.

flank - grilled. in the summer!

bone-in ribeye

New York strip is the best!!

Cowboy ribeye, bloody.
Chew that bugger right off the bone!

porterhouse and new york strip.

ribeye if I'm not buying. If I am buying I do love both the flat iron steak and the onglet.

porterhouse - the best of both worlds.

Bone-in Ribeye.....rare

Post above me has it right!

Ribeye, rare from Del Frisco's

porterhouse. a little on the bloody side.

Dry aged bone-in ribeye. Medium rare. Healthy amount of charring. Well salted. Nothing else. Bone-in is key for the most flavor

Boring, but filet for the win!

porterhouse, just shy of medium rare.

A rare-cooked rib steak, seared over the bbq.

porterhouse

prime rib eye

Porterhouse! Woot!

ribeye please...

Ribeye, medium rare.

Thick cut rib eye!

Skirt steak medium rare with salt and lots of black pepper!!

Filet Mignon-medium. But maybe thats because I haven't had a good porterhouse yet.

bone-in ribeye

bife de lomo!

a porterhouse that is still quivering.

Rare strip with blue cheese on top.

but...

Around our house with the budget in mind we all enjoy a *gulp* round steak baked in the oven with a tin of whole tomatoes poured on top.

Does round steak even really count?

Porterhouse for two– for just me!
(still bleeding)

Porterhouse -- rare.

Porterhouse. Or anything Kobe.

bone-in rib-eye mmmmm

Ribeye medium-rare...but I'd love some porterhouse too!

Flank steak, stuffed and rolled and braised.

Without a doubt, ribeye. Medium rare. Perfect seasoned with only a little salt and pepper, but also great with a little melted butter and mushrooms. Or a red wine and shallot sauce. Mmmmm, steak...

Filet mignon - medium well - but a nice marinated and grilled flank steak is great too!

I really like a nice ribeye.

Filet mignon done medium

Mmmm, steak! I went there for my fiftieth birthday and survived the delicious porterhouse rare. I did skip the bacon appetizer, however.

My father was worried, since none of us wanted dessert, that they wouldn't be able to sing to me. Our server was up to the challenge -- brought a bowl of whipped cream with candles in it.

flank, grilled just for an instant!

Porterhouse from a chianina to make the most phenomenal bistecca alla fiorentina!!

bone-in ribeye--medium

NY Strip, rare.

Ribeye, medium rare.

Porterhouse

I loves me some hanger.

Porterhouse, rareish.

Ribeye is the best.

Hanger!! Rare of Course...

Medium-rare ribeye

Porterhouse:)

flank steak - bloody on my plate! yum! :)

flank steak. or rib-eye

rib-eye or skirt steak if im feeling cheap.

I like tri-tip because it is mysterious and elusive.

Ribeye, medium rare

I'll third the ribeyeporterhousesirloinfiletmignonchickenfriedcubeflankstrip....
as rare as you can make it!

I had a great flank steak once, properly marinated in a red wine/blue cheese marinade and done on a grill -- rare! Lovely eating with red wine.

ribeye, cooked medium-rare

Gotta love the porterhouse

hanger steak, soaked in beer overnight and grilled rare, ummm steak

I'm a big ribeye fan myself...but porterhouse will do the trick in this case!

It feels so....typical. But I cannot tell a lie: I adore filet.

When filet doesn't fit into my budget, I go for the lesser-known baseball steak.

I adore a tender filet. :)

Porterhouse of course!

I love a good filet mignon, nice and thick and barely licked by a flame...

Porterhouse is the King of Steaks.

Prime aged Kansas City Strip Medium Rare. For those who have
ventured yet to Long Beach's 555 Steakhouse, this is a bone in
New York Strip. Nothing like it especially accompanied by a bottle
Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvingon.

Filetttttttt -- but who can say no to Peter Luger??

Ribeye or New York Strip

Gotta go Poerhouse to share

Bone-in ribeye.

I like a good filet, medium rare, but my husband prefers the bone-in ribeye. There have been a few times that I've preferred his steak over mine :)

onglet (hanger) steak

Strip. Medium rare with a great crust.

porterhouse, medium rare, with nothing but a little salt and pepper.

filet mignon, portherhouse

Filet Mignon for me - about 10 oz; ribeye for my darling wife Linda (31 yrs married - yes, I am OLD)

gotta go with porterhouse

Porterhouse and NY Strip

Wow, those steaks look fabulous. Love sirloin medium /well on our grill, also filet (butterflied . We haven't had a porterhouse in ages, sure it would be g-r-e-a-t!

Strip Steak - best mix of flavor and tenderness

Like the other weirdo I saw above, I like flank steak. I don't know why, but it always seems to come out great when I make it.

my favorite is rib eye.

of course..porterhouse!..rare

ribeye, medium rare, of course!

Porterhouse, always!

My favorite cut has to be ribeye.

Porterhouse

Has to be bone-in ribeye
Tender, flavorful and delicious

The best steak I ever had was a flat iron.

I have to admit that I've always liked Roumanian-style strip steak -- although I am also partial to ribeye and a nce sirloin. Filet Mignon is OK, but never seems to be as flavorful (hmmm, nice beefy yummyness!)

Filet, baby...

porterhouse, two steaks in one.

New York Strip

How is this for original, Porterhouse medium rare! With nice age on it of course! Funk is a good thing.

Porterhouse. So it's not original. So sue me. But not until I've finished my steak.

hanger steak, bloody

Ribeye, 2 inches thick, on the bone.

New York strip, hands down.

Definitely Rib-eye.

Bistecca Fiorentino Basically a porterhouse

NY Strip medium rare w/ crispy frites

a nice 2" porterhouse. it is the best of both worlds!!

prime rib for me!!! yum

Ribeye. Pure deliciousness.

Cow. Still mooing, please.

Grilled flank steak - sliced thin.

Filet - but i have not tried a porterhouse

Everyone agrees that Papaya King's hot dogs are tastier than filet mignon, but does anyone else admit that hanger steak is tastier than both? It's my favorite.

Filet mignon, but I'm not really one to complain about the cut as long as it's juicy and flavorful!

New York Strip, please, yesss

A thick, juicy filet -- rare, please -- with just a pat of butter on top and a light sprinkling of kosher salt.

And can I just state for the record how thrilled I am that there have been no troglodytic mentions of "well-done" among the comments? Thank God!

Filet Mignon

Bone in Strip Steak

Porterhouse, period.

Porterhouse.

rib-eye, for sure.

Tenderlion baby! Grilled medium with a blue cheese sauce or just salt and pepper!

porterhouse, black and blue

I have to go with porterhouse... though a good rib roast comes a close second

The fillet portion of a porterhouse. It just tastes better when cooked on the bone.

giant porterhouse!

Ribeye or maybe a really good brisket.

ribeye, bone in cooked over charcoal till just medium rare.

Rare, bone-in ribeye, please. Thank you.

ribeye medium rare ,preferably grilled over charcoal .

Please, sir, what's steak?

Alll we ever get is gruel.

Sure could go for some porterhouse!

Which ever one I happen to be eating at the time.

Ribeye would be my first choice though.

Filet mignon because it was served at the banquet at the centennial meeting of the American Ornithologists' Union, under the big blue whale in the Hall of Ocean Life at the American Museum of Natural History, and it was perfectly cooked and paired (tripleted?) with delicious broccoli and steamed rice and followed by a divine chocolate mousse and is one of my best food memories EVAR.

A nice dry aged NY Strip Steak grilled to perfection

...little slice of heaven

ny strip, mmmmmmmm

New York Strip grilled medium, mmm.

Porterhouse please.

Porterhouse for two

Filet mignon.. mmm mmm mmm

New York strip!

New York Strip with salt and pepper.

filet mignon for me, husband likes the new york strip (medium, please)
Our grill has been in our dining room for over 2 months for a deck repair, so
this would be great for the celebration once we get our deck back (and my
dining room too!)

A New York Strip Steak charbroiled on the outside & medium rare on the inside

In this case, size matters...a 2 lb 'der porterhouse to share with your sweetee -YESSSSSSSS! My favorite!

Bone-in rib-eye, any day!

I love a big ol' flank steak, rubbed, cooked medium rare with a good sear on the outside, sliced thin. In the summer, with grilled corn, of course. Hm....or grilled asparagus. Or both. Sauce--not needed, but I don't object to a good chimichurri now and then.

Can I be the 290th to say Porterhouse?!?

A thick ribeye, medium rare!

ribeye, i can't resist the beautiful marbling. people slice away the fat, i think it's what gives the piece of meat some character!

A bone in rib-eye, medium rare.

a nice thick filet, medium rare

Bone-in ribeye, cut from the center of the primal--but a nice porterhouse ain't half bad.

chateaubriand done medium rare, that is a real treat.

Gosh, every cut has it's merits.... I usually end up eating the "cheap" cuts, so I've never fixed my own porterhouse. :-(

Argh, I can't choose. Just give me beef!

Oh gorgeous, I have so many favorites. If it's aged well and from a good cow, I do love a filet. Too often they aretastelyess, though. A ribeye is reliably good. But I also dig the chewiness of skirt or flatiron steak. I'm complicated.

Filet mignon but we a more economical bi-monthly flank steak so it's a toss up!

Ribeye, seasoned for two days before you serve it to let it dry a bit... oh goodness... but i'll be very much happy with those porterhouses

I can't afford filet mignon or porterhouse, so I guess my favorite is a well marinated and properly grilled top round served as london broil.

Bone-in Ribeye

New York Strip, medium rare

Porterhouse, cooked rare to medium rare.

Ribeye, with the bone

My favorite cut of steak has always been the porterhouse. I love filet mignon also (that would be my second favorite) but porterhouse is King. I have had the pleasure of eating at Peter Lugar's and I had one of the all time best meals of my life...Porterhouse Steak, of course.

my favorite cut of steak is any steak that i have eaten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chateaubriand served medium

I love the flavor and texture combination of the NY strip, dry-aged, and cooked medium.
