Homemade Pork Floss
Pork floss: it's a strange name, but a fitting description for the light, fluffy, thread-like seasoned dried pork product that can be used to add porkiness to just about anything. Although it's easily found at Chinese grocery stores in large, clear plastic containers, you can also make a fresh batch in your own kitchen. Oh my god I love that stuff. My mom used to get bread in Chinatown that had swirls of it and I grossed out some friends when I ate it for lunch and they couldn't figure out what it was. It brings back memories!

OMG, who knew you could make this? I put it on congree, but my mom had to put the kibosh on it because I would put a tiny dollop of congee and then a ton of the floss of top. The store kind is like all sodium and MSG, unfortunately.
