If real dumplings were as cute as One Square Tree's felt dumpling, I'd have a lot more trouble eating them. I wouldn't stop eating them, of course—they're too delicious. And maybe they don't even mind being devoured by humans; the dumpling looks quite content even as it placidly stares into the soy sauce and chopsticks that will play into its demise.
