Photo of the Day: German Oven Pancakes
At first glance I thought Jaden's photo was of some kind of intense fruit salad, but then I found out that underneath the mountain of chopped fruit was a golden German oven pancake, a discovery that suddenly increased the deliciousness of the photo by 500%. At the bottom of that recipe for her German Oven Pancakes, Jaden's 4-year-old is in a picture sticking his tongue out at me while showing me I'd won some Szechuan Peppercorns from Jaden. These arrived today ... four 50g packages, mostly in Chinese, labeled on a sticker on each as "Sichuan Pepper". Even though they were unopened and in a sealed package, the Post Office was filled with that wonderful smell. Thanks, Jaden!
