Gadget: Peanut Butter Mixer
![]()
This peanut butter mixer would have come in handy during our peanut butter and jelly celebration. Use the peanut butter mix to blend your just opened and separated peanut butter, then store it in the fridge where it will maintain its blended state. [via Cool Tools]

Neat, but necessary?
I had a jar of Trader Joe's natural-style peanut butter yesterday, and when it was at room temp I just shook it up thoroughly and it blended nicely all by itself. However, it may have had a more liquid-y consistency overall to begin with than other brands.

I had this gadget, and found it to be the least useful one in my entire kitchen. The oil leaked out of the top through the inadequate gasket, it did not stir completely, and removing the metal stir bar caused peanut oil to fly all over the place. Using it was more messy than simply stirring with a chopstick or a spoon. And storing it was a pain. Its shape and configuration made it too large for most of my drawers, which would catch on it whenever I opened the drawer. I couldn't find anybody to take it off my hands, so I put it in the Goodwill bag. I hope whoever bought it found it more useful than I did.
