'Diet Coke Plus with vitamins indeed! What will be next, Absolut-Plus?'
I'll admit it. I drink lots of Diet Coke, until I feel like it's rotting my insides. Then I take a break and switch to an all-Snapple regimen. That said, I almost bought a bottle of Diet Coke Plus (supplemented with vitamins and minerals) this past Saturday, but then I decided that it was just about the silliest idea ever. Bob Morris in the New York Times agreed with me.
How about the rest of you Diet Coke addicts?
Do you think those vitamins and minerals will save your stomach lining?

Hello, my name is LIbrary Lady and I'm a Diet Crack (er, I mean Coke) addict. I like mine in the lime flavored variety. I tried the vitamin supplemented stuff, it tastes just like regular Diet Crack. I suppose it could have some health benefit if you don't get vitamins from any other source. It certainly won't save anyone's stomach lining!

Coke is crack, like said above. Vitamins are to come from GNC. Give this one up Coke...

None of us are gonna confuse Diet Coke with health food any time soon, right? I suppose I won't grouse if they decide to stick vitamins in my Diet Coke, but I'm not going out of my way to find them. It would be silly to think they'd actually be doing any real amount of good. I'm not sure where Coke was going with this particular idea.
I actually tried the "plus" variety, if for no other reason than the please-quit-asking-me-if-I've-tried-it factor. It's not bad; not terribly different from the normal stuff, maybe a little cleaner finish. Meh.
Now, if you'll excuse me I'm out of...well, you can probably guess.

Joe at "bookofjoe" liked it so much that he's calling it his "official diet soda".
I haven't tried it, but I like Coke's other drinks that use Ace-K as one of the sweeteners, so I bet I would like it. I think the vitamins are just marketing hype.

i just can't keep track of all these diet cokes....
that's my main complaint really. every time they come up with a NEW new diet coke, the one i had finally settled on seems to disappear.
there are 45 different types of diet coke in the cooler at my lunchtime deli, adn yet, i can never find the one i want. i used to love diet cherry coke, but that stopped carrying that when all these diet black cherry vanillas, limes, and lemons came into the mix. thank god now they've come back with cherry coke zero! but how long will it be until that is displaced by some new cocamamy conconction?

7Up came out with a "7Up Plus" a couple years ago, featuring vitamins and minerals, too. It wasn't bad ...although it also wasn't caffeinated.
