Diet Coke Plus, Yay or Nay?
Over at beverage blog supreme The Knowlege For Thirst, Kfan just gave the new Diet Coke Plus a most curious review. If you haven't heard of it yet, it's a version of Diet Coke that's both sweetened with a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium and fortified with vitamins and minerals. A healthy(-ish) soft drink? Say it ain't so!
Have you spotted Diet Coke Plus in your area? Diet Coke addicts, what do you make of it? I'm one of those people who find all artificial sweeteners vile and will not touch diet sodas, but I'm still curious about what it tastes like.

it's like a less fizzy diet coke. not bad, and still better than diet pepsi.

How's that a review?

My co-worker bought one of these today. He said it tasted like a tin can.

Can anyone say "McLean" burger. Micky D's tried to market a healthier low fat hamburger. But it tanked. If you were into healthy eating, you weren't going to McD's and if you liked hamburgers Mclean tasted no good. If you wanted vitamins, would you drink a soft drink?

I haven't tried this particular version, but I think Coke Zero tastes just like regular Coca-cola.

Sweet sassy molassy! Ugh, my first experience with Coke Plus did not impress. A very nasty after-taste coupled with a less-than-refreshing during-taste. I did like the San Francisco-licious rainbow branding, but I don't think I'll be getting my daily vitamin supplement from this drink. I'm sticking to my regular regimen of Coke Zero and Flintstones Chewables....

Tried only one sample bottle---tasted like Coke Zero--or like Pepsi One---won't buy again.

In my opinion, diet coke plus tastes like metal.

It definitely reminded me of Pepsi One or flat, slightly more metallic coke zero. The amount of vitamins and minerals added to the drink definitely doesn't contribute significantly to a healthy diet (if you eat like a normal person, you're not missing out on anything that this would help with) and it doesn't taste as good as diet coke...not worth it at all for this diet coke addict...
