Chicago Tribune's Insider's Food Guide

mrbeef.jpg It took 12 people from the Chicago Tribune to put together the paper's Insider's Food Guide to Chicago. The paper did so partly for the 2,000 people currently in town for the annual meeting of the International Association of Culinary Professionals and partly for its regular readers: "We want them to stash this guide away somewhere or download it to their hard drive. We want them to come back to it again and again because it's useful and fun and maybe, just maybe, there's something good they don't know about."

Fancy-pants restaurants like Alinea and Moto make the list, but so do longtime area stalwarts like Mr. Beef, Hot Doug's, Pizzeria Uno, and the Fox & Obel Food Market. There's something tasty on the list to suit just about everybody.
