A Lyon in the Kitchen

nathanlyon.jpg If you remember Nathan Lyon as the smiley bald guy from last year's reality show The Next Food Network Star, you probably also remember he didn't actually win—Guy Fiore did, and now has a show on the network called Guy's Big Bite.

Well, Discovery Health decided it liked what it saw and gave Lyon his own show, too: A Lyon in the Kitchen, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. (but as they say, check your local listings). Tune in to see Lyon discuss the importance of—and cook with—fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients! [via Apartment Therapy: The Kitchen]

This show is cool and Nathan is definitley hot, but you have to check out the show that follows! The girl makes actual healthy food that doesn't seem healthy at ALL. Someone bought me the Biggest Loser Cookbook (she wrote it) and I thought the recipes were going to be terrible and they weren't. Then I got her other book (Fast Food Fix) and those recipes were astounding. No wonder they gave her a show. The other night she made these double chocolate brownies that I've already made 3 times. They have only 88 calories and 1 g of fat and they're way better than Mrs. Fields!!!

I had the pleasure of interviewing him this week!
Interview with Nathan Lyon

Whenever I need a foodie tv fix, the ONLY "guru" I seek out is NATHAN LYON [A Lyon in the Kitchen]!!! Intelligent, creative, soothing, pleasant and original sans being pedantic.
Soooooooo tired of the Lagassi pseudo theatrics; Ray's exhausting body gestures and non-stop tongue/cutesey stuff; and that revolting guy in a kitchen the size of a water closet [the one who actually thinks he's funny]. Some others have thankfully been deleted even as we speak.

Mr Nathan Lyon, please keep doing what you do to perfection and with such apparent ease and pleasure!!! Thank you. ileana

... I suppose there is a reason why the mind forgets--it's self-protective. Just as I just "forgot" the southern cook whose food "stuff" would make me give up comestibles all together. Please add this to my previous comments---beginning and ending---with Chef Lyon. Thanks. Ileana

How could I forget the wonderful INA GARTEN? Expertise laddled out with serenity and creativity. Bravo. Yes, please add to my previous comments. Thanks. Ileana
