Scandalous Admission from Pizza Blogger

20070118foodcandy.jpgJust when you think you know someone. Slice/Serious Eats pizza fiend Adam Kuban throws us for a loop in a FoodCandy.com interview: "Um, I've got to admit that I don't really mind pineapple on a pie. In fact, I order it quite a bit because 'Girl Slice' really likes pineapple."

What do you think about pineapple on pizza?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Pineapple on pizza is wrong. Only for drunk people and folks who eat such things as blueberry bagels.

Well, you can take the boy out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the boy ...

I am all in favor of pineapple on a pizza. Paired with ham, it is delicious and it refreshes you on a hot summer day.

I would love to see someone use fresh pineapple, and less of the canned crap, though.

*High Five to Dan* Fresh pineapple with Canadian bacon works for me. I do however, like to spice it up with crushed red pepper.

Oh, pineapple on pizza is HEAVEN. But when ordering out, never with ham. (I'm picky about my ham, and no pizza place yet has had ham I like.) Either pineapple by itself, or with fresh halved cherry/grape tomatoes, or with bacon, or sausage, or pepperoni.

I love ham and pineapple on my pizza and WHAT is wrong with Blueberry Bagels??

No, no, no! Pinapple has NO place on a pizza. It's just wrong. Like strawberries, peaches or kiwifruit on pizza. No! Ick! Never!
