Roadfood: Pepe's Pizza

Ride along with Roadfood.com's Michael Stern as he visits Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in New Haven, Connecticut, in this exclusive Serious Eats video. Pepe's, which has been making coal-oven pizza since 1925, invented the white clam pie, onto which fresh clams are shucked. It might sound a bit odd, but trust us, it's some serious eats.

Ride along with intrepid food hunter Michael Stern as he takes Serious Eats to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana for the best white clam pizza anywhere. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid452330045http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=315980337

ABOUT JANE AND MICHAEL STERN
Jane and Michael Stern have written numerous books on road food; write the monthly column "Two for the Road" in Gourmet magazine; and run the website Roadfood.com, a review forum for one-of-a-kind places like Pepe's. We like Jane and Michael because their hunger for offbeat roadside eats knows no limit. Through their books and website, they've made it easy for the rest of us to find serious local eats, whether as a pit stop on a road trip or as destination in its own right.
